
Marissa Tilghman
Marissa Tilghman is a committed dance educator. Marissa received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Education from Texas State University.
Marissa grew up dancing at her home studio in San Antonio Texas since the age of three. She began teaching at the age of 14 in styles such as Ballet, Tap, Point, Jazz & Hip Hop. Marissa was a four year member of high school varsity dance team and a three year All Star Dance. After graduating from Tom C Clark high school Marissa went on to dance with the world famous Texas State Strutters where she was given the opportunity to dance in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. In 2015 Marissa was a finalist for the San Antonio Spurs Silver Dancers.
This is Marissa's 6th year in secondary dance education and 5th year as the Richland High School dance director. Marissa is also a staff member for Showmakers of America where she teaches at camps, works contests, and contributes to choreography curriculum.
